Classes

Our Classes

At FCS, safety is ALWAYS our top priority. Our USASF certified instructors are prepared to take athletes of all ages and skill levels through the proper progressions necessary for developing both the physical and mental technique and strength needed to perform tumbling skills with confidence, consistency and great execution! Athletes MUST be able demonstrate a mastery of all prior level skills before moving on to the next. 

 

Mini Tumbling                             

Ages 2-4. This is a FUN one day a week 30 minute class designed for toddlers. In this class, we focus on body movement, hand-eye coordiination, basic tumbling skills and teamwork.
  

Tiny Tumbling
Ages 4-6. 
This is an ACTIVE two day a week 30 minute class. Athletes in this class will learn the basics of stretching, conditioning, and tumbling. The tumbling skills focused in this class are backbends, handstands, cartwheels and round-offs. During this class we work on body control as well as team work.



Level 1 Tumbling
Ages 6-12. This is an EXCITING two day a week
60 minute class. Athletes in this class will take the basics of tumbling one step further. This class focuses on body strength and flexability. In depth training for handstands, backbends and running tumbling will take place during this class. Skills taught in this class are standing backbend kick-overs, front limbers, front and back walkovers. The skills listed must be mastered before moving on to the next tumbling class.



Level 2 Tumbling
Ages 12-18 or mastered level 1. This is a VIGOROUS two day a week 60 minute class. Athletes in this class will train and condition harder for more advanced tumbling. In this class, the athlete will begin to work on and master their front and back handsprings. Drills and strength are a focus for this class. Skills taught in this class are back limbers, front handsprings, back handsprings and handspring combinations.
The skills listed must be mastered before moving on to the next tumbling class.

 

 

Level 3 Tumbling
No age requirement. This is an ADVANCED one day a week 45 minute class. Athletes in this class must have mastered a standing backhandspring, round off back handspring and handspring combinations. In this class the athletes will focus on strengthening their tumbling. Punch front and back tuck drills will be the focus for this class.
Skills taught in this class are handspring combos, standing tucks and running tuck combos.
